River View Coal, LLC is the operator of River View Mine and Henderson County Mine located in Union and Henderson County, Kentucky. Our processing and loadout facilities are located adjacent to the Ohio River in Union County, Kentucky providing low-cost barge transportation for domestic and export markets. We have extensive resources to keep us safe, efficient and productive with Alliance Coal technical expertise combined with support from our affiliated factories and maintenance shops.
The River View Mine is the largest room and pillar coal mine in North America. We currently have 7 super continuous miner units at River View Mine and 2 additional units at Henderson County Mine and we produced over 9 million clean tons in 2024. We provide a low-cost, reliable fuel source for electricity generation in Kentucky and around the world.
